I didn't take measurements for my Staturday Saturday. I did however do a weigh in.
I started the week previously at a whopping 178.8 pounds. And I ended the week at 175.0 pounds.
So 3.8 pounds my first week is pretty good. I wasn't starving myself. I didn't count calories. What I did do is eat a lot of salads with lemon wedges instead of dressing. I ate a lot of lean meats and nuts.
What I didn't do is eat high starch foods. I had a small bit of potatoes on Friday night with an egg and some peppers. That along with 1/4 cup of black beans for a dinner earlier in the week were my major starchy carbs. Almost all of my energy carbs came from fruit and yummy veggies. It was a great week. I did not feel tired or hungry at all and by Friday afternoon when I thought I'd be dragging I was jumping around with tons of energy! At least until I got home and did my double header workout! That was a killer! BUT I made it through alive! And I felt great!
This week starts a new week and I'm very excited to keep my momentum going. I do not expect the same weight loss this week. I really would be happy to see the scale move slowly but steadily in a downward angle. I expect it to be closer to 2 pounds this week and then tapper of to about 1-2 pounds each week thereafter.
Exercise isn't fun for someone like me. I'm big. I'm short, I'm obese. I'm not going to lie and say that I am having a blast. But I will say that I feel accomplished and proud. I will also say that I am sweating a lot and it is both gross and satisfying at the same time. I'm not perfect. I'm still doing the modified moves for most everything. But I am trying and I will keep trying.
Make it a great week everyone and I'll post again soon!

I am so going to try using lemon on salads. I love salad, but only if it has some juicy dressing, and usually that means adding something with a mess of high fructose corn syrup to my healthy fresh veggies and that bums me out! Thanks so much for the idea!

Hey Punky! I love using lemon on my salads, better than olive oil and red wine vinegar. I also like to crumble a little blue cheese for flavor. It helps make you feel you are eating a decadent salad with dressing when you get the creamy blue cheese in your mouth. A little goes a long way!
