Group Power...Ever hear of it???

Well, I hadn't. But my cousin-in-law, who I actually refer to as my sis, teaches this class. So I decide to try it. What do I have to lose right? She is in perfect condition. Not skinny, not fat, but nice muscle tone and a nice rear end...What I wouldn't do for an actual rear end...But I digress.

So last night I went to Group Power. This is 60 minutes of lifting. Weights people! My arms hurt, my butt hurts, my legs hurt, my chest hurts, my back hurts. The only thing that isn't sore is my stomach, give that a few more hours and I'm sure it will hurt too. But this was my first ever experience with a live class. It was fun. I found that I got a little TJ in me and had to shake it when I was bringing my weights down...hmmmm, wonder why. :) Thankfully I was in the back of the class and no one else saw except my sis and she smiled and winked at me. LOL! Maybe others saw, now that I think about it, there are mirrors everywhere! LOL!

So, this is going to be my regular Monday night thing. What a great way to start the week. I'm hoping next Tuesday I don't feel as sore! We did dips, and thanks to Tony I was able to go wayyyyyy down! LOL! Fat girl doing dips with straight legs. There were other people in better shape doing bent leg lifts and going down half as far. That made me feel good. Although I really need to spend more time on those dang push ups. We did them on a platform which made it easier, but it's still hard.

Tonight it is cardio Party. Woooohooo!

eeeek - I'd be totally unable to move, 'cause I have not kept up my resistance training at all.
And I would love to be able to do dips, but my wrists don't allow it.

That class sounds like a barnburner, for sure! It is a great way to start the week. Mayhaps that's what I need to get my weight training going again - having to go out somewhere to do it.

Good for you!
